Urinary Tract Balance
Urinary and Bladder
Urinary Tract Balance is a prevention formula for people dealing with recurrent UTIs. The core mechanism is D-Mannose (1000mg) – a sugar that E. coli bacteria attach to instead of your bladder wall, getting flushed out in urine before they can establish an infection. Cranberry adds a second adhesion-blocking pathway. Hibiscus and dandelion round out the formula with antimicrobial and urinary flush support.
About 80% of urinary tract infections are caused by E. coli. Most treatments work by killing bacteria after they’ve established. D-Mannose works earlier – before the bacteria can attach to the bladder wall in the first place.
D-Mannose – the adhesion mechanism.
E. coli bacteria use hair-like structures called fimbriae to grab onto mannose receptors on the bladder wall. When D-Mannose is present in urine at high concentrations, the bacteria bind to it instead – and get flushed out during urination before they can establish. At 1000mg, this formula is at the clinical research dose used in the prevention trials that established D-Mannose as a legitimate UTI-prevention intervention.
Cranberry – the second adhesion pathway.
Cranberry’s active compounds – type-A proanthocyanidins (PACs) – block a different set of E. coli fimbriae (P-fimbriae) that D-Mannose doesn’t address. The two mechanisms are complementary rather than overlapping, which is why this combination covers more of the bacterial adhesion landscape than either alone.
Hibiscus and dandelion.
Hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract provides anthocyanins with documented antimicrobial activity against E. coli and anti-inflammatory effects on urinary tract tissue. Dandelion root is a natural diuretic – it increases urine production, supporting the mechanical flushing that removes bacteria from the urinary tract before they can multiply.

Anti-Adhesion Defense
D-Mannose
+
−
D-Mannose works by a specific anti-adhesion mechanism: E. coli – responsible for over 85% of UTIs – uses mannose-binding fimbriae to attach to the urinary tract wall. Supplemental D-Mannose saturates these binding sites, causing bacteria to pass through with urination rather than establishing infection.

Bacterial Adhesion Inhibition
Cranberry Juice Powder
+
−
Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) proanthocyanidins – specifically the type-A PACs found only in cranberry – inhibit P-fimbriae, the second type of bacterial attachment structure that D-Mannose doesn't cover. Cranberry and D-Mannose block different adhesion pathways, making their combination more comprehensive than either alone.

Urinary Tract Antioxidant
Hibiscus Extract
+
−
Hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract provides anthocyanins with documented antimicrobial activity against E. coli and other urinary pathogens. It also exerts anti-inflammatory effects on urinary tract tissue, reducing the inflammation and irritation that accompany infection or recurrent exposure.
04
Urinary Flush Support
Dandelion Extract
+
−
Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale) is a natural diuretic – it increases urine production, supporting the mechanical flushing that clears bacteria from the urinary tract before they can adhere and multiply. Complements D-Mannose's adhesion-blocking mechanism with increased urinary flow volume.
